PEOPLE
Here are JUST a few OF THE celebrities THAT WILL BE LEADING THE PAR-TAY!
The Happy Couple
Lauren & Jack got to know each other by training for the London marathon. Here is a picture of them celebrating after one of their first races with Henry VIII of Kingston.
Jack claims the wedding will be the end of the marathon he really started back in November 2013; Lauren thinks it will really be her formalising her position as "The Boss".
Kevin (Father of the Bride)
You'll not meet anyone kinder or braver than this London fireman, although I suspect he might be a little nervous about his speaking duties on the day. Just kidding - he absolutely loves to talk!!
Heather (Mother of the Bride)
Heather is pictured here with Laurie in Florence – the style capital of Europe. Well, she still taught them a thing or two. Expect to see her on the dance floor. You may ask yourself, "Can she dance in 6 inch heels?" The answer: "YES SHE CAN!!"
Mike & Mary (Parents of the Groom)
The biggest compliment we can pay them is that they survived raising Jack & Adam....just. Like Heather, Mary will be spending most of her time swinging on the dance floor. Like Kevin, Mike will spend most of the time avoiding it.
Jack & Rob (Lauren's Brothers)
They've grown up since this pic – but only a little bit. Jack thinks he is Essex's answer to Michael Jackson. Rob thinks he's New York's answer to Ricky Martin. We all think they are more like the Chuckle Brothers. At least we hope so since they will be our MCs for the day.
Adam & Monica (Groom's Brother & Sister-in-Law)
Despite being the younger brother, Adam has been caring for Jack for the last 30 years. In 2016 be brought in outside help to share the burden by marrying Monica. She likes to party and consequently will not be entrusted with any responsibilities after about 6pm.
Tasha (Maid of Honour)
If Lauren were the peas Tasha would be the carrots. They have been a tag team since the age of 4 when they used to dance themselves silly at ballet. And not much has changed since. They know each other so well that they can manage at least 3 conversations concurrently at any given moment.
Frankie (Bridesmaid)
Also a lifelong friend of Lauren and part of the Brentwood Ursuline tag-team, but has managed to stay true to her Essex roots – something she ain’t afraid to call Lauren up on: “I know for a fact Laurie went to a car meet on the Southend seafront: System up with the top down, Baby!”.
Jenny Sue Chan (Bridesmaid)
Jen met Lauren at law school and soon became a bessie. She is of Asian ethnicity; Welsh nationality; socially left; economically right; talks faster than John Barnes and twerks harder than Miley Cyrus.
Alex Jones (Best Man)
Over the last 20 years, Jack & Alex have shared school, university, a house in London and the numerous misadventures that all this has entailed. Their relationship is underpinned by trust. Indeed, Jack has absolute faith that Alex will embarrass him during the speeches so he decided to get early revenge by sharing this video of Alex’s dance moves.
Barney (Usher)
“Husband” to his wife, “Father” to two lovely girls, “Mr President” to his colleagues and “Captain” to his fellow sportsman – Barney is a man of many talents. He and Jack studied and lived together at Bristol Uni with Steve, Happy and a bunch of other top buds (#FunTimes).
Alex / Christo (Usher)
Alex is the living evidence of the duality of man. On the one hand he is a chartered accountant and holds high honours in geology, music and fashion; on the other he has been found skiing in the Alps dressed as a sumo wrestler, or righting the wrongs of inequality through toffee vodka. He started as a colleague of Jack’s in 2005 but soon became one of his BFFs.
Steve (Usher)
Famous for austerity sandwiches, getting severe yips on the golf course and being handy with a groove cleaner. Steve is another of Jack’s oldest friends and shares his passion for fancy dress. He is pictured here as a wise man at one of the Sullivan Road Christmas Parties.
Clarissa (Reading)
Jack was introduced to Clarissa as part of the infamous “Cats on Tour” ski trip of 2008. Since then they have managed to bring the same spirit to bars and dancefloors ranging from South West London to Ibiza.
Sarah (Reading)
Poor suffering Sarah: not only was she made to go to a boys boarding school where she met Jack, but she has also ended up marrying a Kiwi – Nigel. Luckily she now has Lauren to share her pain. Besides, she can handle her herself as you’ll see when she gets hold of the shots!
Kate (Reading)
“Hoik up skirt, engage reverse gear, and bounce backwards”. Yes, those are the main ingredients for Kate’s trademark dance move: the bum shuffle. We think it was originally developed as a sly way to escape husband Barney’s “Dad Dancing” (something he has had locked down for quite a while now).
Laura (Reading)
It took Laura & Lauren about 2 friends to become friends when they met on the first day of law school. They were like two peas in a pod apart from on the dance floor where they were better at giving each other black eyes!
Lindsay (Ceremony Music)
Linds is a talented violinist and will be dusting off her fiddle to play some music during the ceremony. She met Lauren when she first moved to London from Glasgow and they’ve had many holidays & adventures since!
